Overview

We're looking for a motivated graduate to join JBS&G in our Sydney office as part of the Graduate intake. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in contaminated land management and to learn directly from in‑house technical leaders. From day one, you'll work with experienced consultants on real, diverse projects—from initial site investigations to remediation and closure—building your technical and fieldwork skills and developing confidence in client communication. You'll have access to structured training, mentoring, and professional development to kick‑start your consulting career.

Responsibilities
  • Develop field experience and knowledge in sampling methodologies for soil, soil vapour, indoor air, ambient air, hazardous materials, groundwater, and surface water.
  • Support accurate reporting activities, including maintaining field notes, site descriptions, logs, analytical summary tables, and basic reporting tasks.
  • Develop computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office and industry‑specific programs.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and communicate project updates as required.
  • Develop relationships with clients and ensure high‑quality customer service throughout projects.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering is essential, with an understanding of earth sciences highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a range of stakeholders to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage and prioritise deadlines.
  • Proactive and motivated approach to learning.
  • Full driver's licence, and willingness to obtain police and medical clearance.
