We're building tomorrow's bank today and are seeking a creative and diverse individual to help redefine what customers expect from a bank. You will lead our core banking engineering and integration, responsible for Bankwest's Core Product systems and related service layers as they evolve through our digital transformation. Our Crew Tech Leads are curious and collaborative leaders providing expert strategic technology advice to the business. You'll define the technical roadmap and oversee the delivery of outcomes, bridging the gap between business strategy and technical solutions, enabling autonomous delivery at pace. As an experienced people leader, you'll foster a tech culture of continuous improvement in an open, safe, and collaborative environment for your teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and shape tech teams that build and run great technology
  • Define the technical roadmap and oversee the delivery of outcomes
  • Bridge the gap between business strategy and technical solutions, enabling autonomous delivery at pace
  • Foster a tech culture of continuous improvement and an open, safe, and collaborative environment
Qualifications and Skills
  • Inspirational leader with a strong combination of technical skill and people leadership
  • End-to-end delivery capability for the best digital solutions and customer experiences
  • Ability to drive sustainable tech ecosystems through design, refactoring and managing technical debt
  • Experience empowering teams with the best tools and applications to deliver leading-edge products
  • Big thinker with the ability to inspire teams and stakeholders and influence future digital direction
  • Demonstrable understanding of enterprise data standards, application modernisation, and reference architecture
  • Perth-based or able to work in Perth
  • Experience with cloud-native development, core banking system design, microservice architectures, secure-by-design principles, case management tools, and BIAN architecture
Nice-to-have
  • Experience across a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks; exposure to some listed helps, but not all are required
