About The Glen for Men

The Glen for Men program is designed to treat a client in a holistic manner by addressing all their issues. This means that we treat the person (spiritually, mentally, and physically). We don't just treat their addiction; we also look at things in their life that may be causing the addictive behaviours. Our program is about empowering people to take control of their lives, to live a good, fun life and to become active members of their families and the community.

Objective of your role

Therapeutic workers across The Glen Group supervise clients in line with routine and provide individual case management based on the ADARRN Model of Care. This means taking a strength-based, trauma-informed approach and linking clients with the appropriate stakeholders to address their underlying issues.

This role is a full time, shift work position where you will be required to workday, afternoon, overnight and weekend shifts.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

• Ability to case manage yourself.
• Ability to network and build relationships that add value to client journey.
• Communication skills (written and verbal) and be a great listener.
• Good computer & technology skills (including the ability to use and improve Client Management System)
• Ability to provide solutions when you identify a problem.
• Ability to plan your work, and manage your priorities, focus and time.
• Understanding of risk.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to separate fact from fiction/emotion and make decisions based on facts.
• Ability to negotiate complex issues with clients.

Remuneration

Negotiated based on qualifications & experience in line with SCHADS award
