It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for a person with at least 3 months experience in a similar professional role, to join the Silverchain team in the Gosford NSW 2250 area.

• Work close to home – Home Care Workers needed now in the Gosford area
• Award rate $40.93 per hour + Super + Paid KM's
• Casual roles with a view to permanent part time positions

• Paid CPR and First Aid courses.

We are looking for people who:

• Enjoy having variety in their day.
• Are passionate about providing an excellent service.
• Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
• Don't sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

In addition, you will need:

• An Open Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
• Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in aged care.

In the role of Home Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services, such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
