About this part of our organisation:

Our Zinc Assets in Australia include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants and port facilities. Globally we have operations across Asia, North and South American continents and Europe. This position is based in our Townsville office near our Copper Refinery.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to lead our team of Applications Analysts and Developers. This role will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications that support our business operations. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services.

Key Responsibilities of your potential new position:
  1. Lead and supervise a team of applications analysts and developers.
  2. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software applications.
  3. Ensure that software solutions meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  4. Manage and prioritise the team's workload, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  5. Coordinate with other departments to identify and address software needs.
  6. Vendor and supplier relationships management, including contracts and service agreements, and performance management.
  7. Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
  8. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities.
  9. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
What we are looking for:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in software development and project management.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Experience in vendor/supplier management.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
