About the Role

We're looking for a talented Web Developer to join the team building our public website infrastructure. You'll engage in the development and ongoing optimisation of our marketing sites (AU and US), currently built on WordPress, and help shape the future direction of our webstack. You'll be working alongside a team of developers both on-shore and offshore.



Responsibilities
  • Drive development of pay.com.au and payrewards.com websites, built on WordPress
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to bring campaigns, landing pages, and content to life
  • Work with our onshore & offshore development team
  • Optimise site speed, security, SEO performance, and responsiveness across devices
  • Make architectural and tooling contributions (e.g. plugins, theme structure, hosting, performance monitoring)
  • Collaborate to improve documentation, workflows, version control, and deployment processes
  • Build custom components and integrations as needed (e.g. forms, APIs, lead flows)
  • Ensure our web properties are reliable, extensible, and aligned with brand and business goals


About You
  • 5+ years of web development experience, with strong WordPress skills (custom themes, PHP, Gutenberg, performance optimisation)
  • Proven experience making architectural decisions across modern web stacks
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment
  • Able to manage and mentor offshore developers while maintaining high-quality delivery
  • Familiar with Git-based workflows, staging environments, and performance best practices
  • A problem-solver who balances speed and long-term scalability in their work
