Team Leader Commercial Strategy

This strategic leadership role will oversee the transformation of Council's high-profile leisure and tourism assets into vibrant, commercially successful destinations. In this role, you will

• lead the development and delivery of a 5-year commercial masterplan
• secure investment
• ensure assets like the Willunga Golf Course and our Tourist Parks deliver value to both the community and Council.

About You

You are a commercially savvy and strategically minded leader with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-site operations. You thrive in fast-paced, politically sensitive environments and bring strong experience in commercial partnerships, P&L leadership and capital development. A confident communicator and negotiator, you balance stakeholder expectations while keeping a clear focus on delivering high-impact, financially sound outcomes for the community. Your leadership style inspires collaboration, performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated senior P&L responsibility for a commercial or leisure portfolio (>$10m revenue)
• Proven delivery of capital projects >$20m, preferably in a public-private context
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting and profit optimisation
• High-level influencing and negotiation skills across government, media and private sector

Special requirements

• Regular after-hours meetings and site visits.
• The successful applicant must possess and provide a Department of Human Services (DHS) "Not Prohibited" Working with Children check.
• South Australian Drivers License – Class C
