The Central Finance Integrated Controls and Monitoring Team supports Central Finance and the wider Finance and Tax Division in managing their Financial and Regulatory Reporting Risk and Control Frameworks through governance and monitoring. The team provides risk advisory support, performs assurance reviews, attestation activities, and assesses the adequacy of risk and policy training.

What role will you play?Reporting to the Head of Integrated Controls & Monitoring in Finance, you will lead initiatives to uplift controls within Central Finance, focusing on non-financial risk monitoring and governance. Your responsibilities include establishing effective Finance Risk Governance Forums, monitoring Key Risk Indicators, supporting control owners in implementing policies and standards, driving continuous improvement, and leading process and control reviews.
You will assess issues for broader finance teams, collaborate with Business Unit Integrated Controls & Monitoring Teams, and lead control improvement projects, such as optimizing the Financial Reporting Value Chain. This role offers high-profile exposure to senior leaders at Macquarie and the chance to provide valuable insights to stakeholders across the organization.
What you offer- Chartered accountant background with 7+ years of experience in a Financial Institution
- Thorough understanding of activities within a Finance function in a Financial Institution (financial reporting and regulatory reporting)
- Experience or exposure to Risk and Control Advisory and Governance roles
- Strong communication skills with solid stakeholder management and influencing abilities, especially with senior stakeholders
- Confidence in presenting, memo, and report writing for senior audiences
