Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioners (with Relocation Assistance to Broome, WA) role at Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS).
BRAMS is a well-established Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service serving the Broome community for over 40 years, focusing on culturally secure, person-centred primary health care and wellbeing programs. This newly created role reports to the Senior Medical Officer and leads advanced clinical care services within the primary healthcare clinic.
Responsibilities- Deliver culturally safe and responsive primary health care aligned with the BRAMS Model of Care
- Conduct independent patient assessments, diagnoses, and clinical decision-making
- Prescribe medications under the Kimberley Standard Drug List and authorised SASAs
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic investigations
- Manage recalls, reminders, and follow-up care processes
- Collaborate across departments and multidisciplinary teams
- Lead and contribute to quality improvement activities and clinical audits
- Participate in clinical governance and safeguarding practices for children and young people
- Current AHPRA registration with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
- Demonstrated experience in a primary healthcare setting
- Experience or interest in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (desirable)
- Clinical expertise in triage, treatment, and ongoing care management
- Strong communication across multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
- Cultural humility and willingness to learn in an Aboriginal health context
- Collaborative approach and ability to adapt to a diverse service environment
- Base pay range: A$150,000.00/yr – A$165,000.00/yr
- Accommodation support to help you settle
- Annual remote area allowance up to A$1,300
- Relocation assistance up to A$5,000
- Flexible work arrangements, including part-time or fixed-term options
