Electrical Trainee Drafter - Renewable Energy and Utility Projects

CPP is a leading high-voltage infrastructure provider, connecting renewable energy projects to Australia's electricity grid. As a member of Quanta Services, we specialise in the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of substations, transmission lines, wind farms, and battery storage systems.

We are based in Adelaide and are looking for a motivated Trainee Electrical Drafter to join our Secondary Engineering Team. You'll work alongside experienced Design Drafters and Engineers to contribute to the creation of detailed designs and drawings for substation infrastructure supporting high voltage systems across utility and renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the creation of detailed designs and drawings for substation infrastructure supporting high voltage systems on utility and renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with Design Drafters and Engineers to ensure designs are practical and constructible.
  • Assist in the development of initial drafting concepts through to final drawings.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Electrical Engineering (Design Drafting) Diploma; Technical Certificate; and/or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working as an electrical drafter is essential.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is desirable.
  • Experience working on utility and/or renewable energy projects is favourable but not essential.
