Overview

YMCA Caringbah Centre is looking for a dynamic and engaging casual fitness professional who wants to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the local community. You will be the go-to person on the gym floor, leading multiple small group training classes and connecting with clients to help them achieve greater fitness and wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Be the go-to person on the gym floor and run multiple small group training classes.
  • Connect with customers and work with them to achieve greater fitness and wellbeing.
  • Demonstrate exercises with correct form, provide clear verbal cues, and offer modifications and progressions.
  • Design safe and effective workout programs for different goals (e.g., strength, cardio, flexibility, weight loss).
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, monitor form to prevent injuries, and ensure a positive client experience.
  • Maintain punctuality, professional appearance, and organized client records and schedules.
Qualifications
  • Certificate III in fitness (Fitness Trainer)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current AusREPS Registration
  • A strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and basic nutrition principles.
  • Ability to design and deliver programs for varied goals and to demonstrate proper form with appropriate modifications.
