This is a contract on-site role for a Registered Nurse located in the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle area, NSW. The Procedural Nurse will be responsible for assisting in patient preparation, performing clinical procedures such as biopsies, administering local anaesthetics, wound clinics, and maintaining patient records. Additionally, the nurse will ensure a high standard of infection control and provide patient education.
Responsibilities- Assist in patient preparation for procedures
- Perform clinical procedures (e.g., biopsies) and administer local anaesthetics
- Manage wound clinics and maintain accurate patient records
- Maintain high standards of infection control
- Provide patient education and information as required
- Patient preparation, administering medications, and monitoring patients
- Experience in performing clinical procedures and maintaining patient records
- Skills in infection control and patient education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Nursing credentials and valid certification to practice in NSW
- Experience in dermatology or skin cancer procedures is a plus
- Experience in ICU, anaesthetics, or surgical settings is also a plus
