Subject Matter Expert for Cybersecurity & Data Risk Management

The role of Subject Matter Expert for Cybersecurity & Data Risk Management plays a vital part in developing engaging, relevant, and high-quality online courses. Collaborating with Learning Experience Designers, Developers, and stakeholders, the SME ensures content aligns with course objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Planning: Map course structure and assessment strategies to ensure academic accuracy and relevance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Align content with practical and academic insights from senior leadership or consulting experience in cybersecurity, data security, or public sector auditing.
  • Learning Design Support: Develop engaging learning activities and feedback mechanisms that cater to non-specialist audiences.
  • Content Development: Write and structure course content with academic accuracy, incorporating relevant learning resources.
  • Assessment Design: Create assessments and rubrics, develop case studies and data sets that address threats and regulations.
Key Requirements
  • Expertise in cybersecurity and data risk mitigation, especially auditing or compliance for public entities, including IT infrastructure, risk identification, and threat management.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in related fields such as cybersecurity, data security, or public sector auditing.
  • A strong background in presenting effectively to online audiences, with recognition in the industry for cybersecurity or digital security.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including universities, vocational and higher education providers, and corporate partners.
  • A self-motivated individual with effective time management skills, open to feedback and collaboration.
