Responsibilities
  • Provide a broad range of social work interventions within an acute mental health setting.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Apply recovery-focused care and principles within an acute mental health setting.
  • Utilise computer skills as part of daily practice.
Selection Criteria
  • Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or equivalent as determined by the employer.
  • Understanding of Mental Health and Guardianship Acts and their applicability to this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective social work interventions in an acute setting.
  • High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of recovery-focused care and principles within an acute mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
