Disability Support Worker

Melba Support Services is actively recruiting for Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in Lilydale, Mooroolbark, Bairnsdale, and Sale areas.

You will work alongside an engaged, committed, and expert team to ensure the people we support lead happy and fulfilling lives.

You will join an organization truly committed to the people we support, our community, and our staff.

What You'll Do
  • Implement support plans based on the supported persons' needs, preferences, and interests.
  • Assist with all aspects of daily living, from waking up in the morning to going to bed at night.
  • Help individuals attend their preferred activities, such as social events, work, and appointments.
  • Promote personal choice and control for the person.
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, and household duties like cleaning, cooking, and washing.
  • Administer medication as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support is preferred but not necessary.
  • A passion for enabling and working with people.
  • A desire for meaningful work and comfort in providing daily living support.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and undertake ongoing training.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
Additional Requirements
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Unrestricted Australian Driver's License.
  • Car Insurance.
  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster.
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR.
