Our client is an international Chartered Accounting (CA) award-winning firm specialising in providing diversified client-focused services.

Due to increased business, their Brisbane office has a vacancy for a Senior Accountant in their Business Services division.

Working directly with the Partners and a team of senior accounting professionals you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of interesting clients including listed companies and a variety of private companies.

THE OPPORTUNITY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage with a broad spectrum of local, national and international clients
  • Uphold exceptional standards expected from a top 100 accounting firm
  • Oversee and manage an independent client portfolio
  • Craft financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and SMSFs
  • Compiles FBT returns
  • Generate a Business Activity Statements (BASs) and Instalment Activity Statements (IASs)
  • Lead a team of accountants
EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Business (BBus) degree with a specialisation in accounting
  • Demonstrate an extensive background with over 3 years hands-on experience in business services within an accounting firm
  • Hold or be in the final stages of completing the Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, facilitating the establishment of enduring client relationships
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a larger engagement team
