What you'll do:

The Customer Advisory Architecture Advisor (AA) works closely with SAP's Sales organization and the Partner ecosystem to define the account strategy. AAs are responsible for bridging the gap between the customer's business strategy and relevant solutions through crafting the to-be business and solution architectures and designing a transformation roadmap at the enterprise level to facilitate the customer's adoption of Cloud-based architectures. They are trusted advisors for the customer to achieve their desired to-be SAP-based Enterprise Architecture.

As an Architecture Advisor (AA), you will focus on the following key areas:

Account Planning & Architecture Management Responsibilities

  1. Support the assessment of current customer solutions from SAP and potential areas of opportunity for faster solution adoption & consumption, as well as SAP Business Suite footprint expansion.
  2. Engage with customers to support sales cycles throughout the Customer Value Journey as an integral member of the SAP account team.
  3. Drive business and IT architecture definitions to ensure consistency, cooperation, and alignment with SAP organizations, the customer, and partners.
  4. Provide a linkage from the customer to SAP product development leadership.

Creating an SAP Architecture Vision for the Customer

  1. Support building customer demand through appropriate thought leadership and innovation positioning.
  2. Understand customer's business process map and business model with industry reference architecture focus.
  3. Understand customer's current enterprise landscape and future needs.
  4. Drive the positioning of standard cloud architectures (plug & play) leveraging standard cloud solutions.

Building Key Customer Architecture Deliverables: Business & Solution Architecture, Target State, Transformation Roadmap

  1. Drive business architecture and capability mapping to solution design.
  2. Ensure IT feasibility of the business capabilities mapping to SAP solution architecture.
  3. Support customer cloud transformation roadmap definition (business and application focus).
  4. Drive customer cloud/hybrid transformation roadmap definition (standard cloud application and technology focus).

Being a Trusted Architecture Advisor for the Customer

  1. Align living roadmap with current adoption/solution consumption.
  2. Support living roadmap governance & adaptation based on the evolution of customer needs and SAP solutions.
  3. Drive solution expansion by highlighting value & linkages to the broader SAP Portfolio.

What you bring:

  1. Considerable experience with software/IT organizations as an IT Architecture or Enterprise Architecture Advisor and/or specific expertise with software solutions through Solution Management, Sales, Presales, Adoption/Consumption, Consulting or Business Development, demonstrating successful outcomes over multiple years.
  2. Represent SAP as the trusted advisor within SAP and/or the market.
  3. Deep knowledge of Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/PaaS models and Cloud-based commerce/business networks.
  4. Proven professional networks in the Western Australia market to drive pipeline and revenue growth for SAP.
  5. Proven track record of success in Energy & Natural Resources Industry area is required.
  6. Ability to lead through influence and consultative selling experience.
  7. Proven experience of driving tangible outcomes in Enterprise Architecture for customers.
  8. Fluency in English; any other language is an asset.
  9. Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required, MBA or equivalent degree required from accredited university preferred.
  10. Togaf or SAPIEA-10 certifications and experience in using EAM tools is an added value for candidates.
