Barrier-free Life is a NDIS Registered Provider offering SIL Accommodations and various services including Community Participation Services, Short-Term (Respite), Medium-Term, and Long-Term Accommodation. Our highly trained Disability Support Workers provide Person Centred Care and Best-Practice Care round the clock. We prioritize matching clients with compatible housemates to ensure independent, respectful, and safe living. Our services aim to make clients and their families feel secure, creating a comforting home environment that reduces stress and enhances wellbeing.

Role Description

This is an on-site part-time role for a Disability Support Worker based in Kogarah, NSW. The Disability Support Worker will assist clients with their daily activities, implement individualized care plans, and ensure a safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities include offering personal care, helping with community participation, implementing safeguarding measures, and providing companionship. The role requires effectively communicating with clients, their families, and other team members, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to NDIS standards and guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a Support Worker
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding practices
  • Ability to provide Technical Support
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others
  • Relevant certification or qualifications in disability support or related field
  • Understanding and experience with NDIS standards and guidelines
