Now Careers client is a specialist provider of precast foundation systems for residential, commercial, and infrastructure construction. Due to growing demand, they are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with hands-on experience operating an off-coil machine or similar automated mesh cutting/bending machinery.

The Role

You will be responsible for independently operating machinery to cut, bend and process steel reinforcement mesh to project specifications. You'll be part of a team producing quality mesh panels used in precast foundation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate and monitor the mesh processing machine
  • Load raw material (steel bar/coils) and manage machine output
  • Read and interpret bar schedules, cut lists, and technical drawings
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on finished reinforcement mesh
  • Collaborate with workshop team to meet daily production targets
Skills & Requirements
  • Experience operating off-coil or similar automated mesh machines
  • Solid understanding of reinforcement fabrication and mesh layout
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering/fabrication drawings
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting, standing, and moving steel safely
Highly Regarded
  • Forklift licence
  • Overhead crane experience
  • Experience working with prefabricated foundation systems
Salary

$37.50ph (including casual loading) + super
