The Opportunity

  • Communicate with clients and engineers to understand geotechnical requirements across diverse infrastructure and building projects.
  • Plan, manage and report on site investigations and laboratory testing programs.
  • Perform geotechnical design calculations and develop safety management plans for investigation works.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored, high-quality geotechnical solutions.
  • Prepare detailed factual, interpretative, and design reports, and contribute to digital and sustainable project outcomes.

Is this role right for you?
  • A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a related field, with consulting experience in design and investigations.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered membership with IEAust and familiarity with Melbourne's geotechnical environment.
  • Practical knowledge of site investigations, geotechnical design, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience or interest in areas such as contamination assessments, rock mechanics, pavement design or hydrogeology.
