What you will be doing in this role

Working in a Medical Administration role, internally known as an Administrative Clerk, you will be working within the Revenue Services department. This is a full time, Monday – Friday role, and your main duties will be managing patient billing, processing patient payments and insurance claims, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a high level of customer service to patients both via the phone and email as well as be confident to liaise with Medicare. You will be supported within the role by a friendly and supportive team and will report into the Patient Billing Team Leader.

Who we're looking for

  • You'll have proven experience (min 12 months) working within a similar role within a hospital setting
  • You'll hold a certificate in medical billing and coding (highly desirable)
  • You'll have a proven track record of working with insurance providers and resolving billing disputes or claims denials
  • You'll have the ability to provide high quality customer service and be an exceptional communicator both verbally and via email
  • You'll have demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
  • You'll have full Australian working rights and the ability to work a full time Mon-Fri role.
