About the role

Step into a role where your geotechnical expertise drives safety, innovation, and operational excellence. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Mungari, you'll play a key role in supporting both open pit and underground operations, ensuring the integrity of pit slopes, waste rock dumps, tailings and water storage facilities. You'll collaborate with technical and operational teams to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions that maximise resource recovery and support long-term planning

As a senior member of the Technical Services team, you'll lead inspections, contribute to ground control strategies and manage geotechnical projects. This is a great opportunity to influence outcomes across multiple departments whilst striving for continuous improvement.

The position will be on an 8:6 roster 12-hour days (Residential to Kalgoorlie, or FIFO from Perth only).

About you

In this role, you'll lead inspections, shape ground control strategies, and manage geotechnical projects from concept to completion. Your commitment to continuous improvement and mentoring others will help foster a culture of safety, excellence, accountability, and respect, Evolutions core values that define everything we do.

You will have a tertiary qualification in Mining, Geoscience, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline with a focus on Geomechanics, and have the following experience.

• Minimum 7 years' geotechnical experience
• Proven supervisory experience in operations, technical services, or project management
• Strong understanding of safety systems, geotechnical controls, and open pit operations
• Solid knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements
• Advanced user of geotechnical modelling and CAD software
• Budget management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
