About The PositionWe're seeking a Chef de Partie to bring creativity, passion for exceptional cuisine, and expertise in both modern and traditional Japanese techniques to our team.
- Collaborate with our Executive Chef to design menus that highlight Japanese flavors and seasonal ingredients.
- Manage food and labor costs, oversee stock takes, and handle kitchen orders efficiently.
- Ensure every dish is prepared and presented to the highest standard, reflecting Òra's signature finesse.
- Prepare and cook dishes with precision, delighting diners with each plate.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and spotless kitchen environment.
- Develop and mentor a passionate kitchen team, fostering growth and teamwork.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a high-volume, casual fine dining environment, with a Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Commercial Cookery.
- Punctuality, honesty, and commitment are essential qualities.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, working harmoniously with team members.
- Experience with rostering, COGs, P&Ls, and other kitchen management essentials.
- Knowledge of modern and traditional techniques, with a passion for authentic flavors.
- Excellent guest engagement skills, ability to handle a busy open kitchen, and maintain professionalism.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and public holidays in a fast-paced setting.
