Role detailsThe Women's Health Unit at Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Midwife (Kem Kem Yanga Midwifery Group Practice) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunityThe Clinical Midwife provides advanced clinical skills to ensure patient-focused, evidence-based nursing/midwifery care. They plan and coordinate the clinical management of patient/client care and provide leadership and support to other nursing/midwifery staff within Kem Kem Yanga Midwifery Group Practice.
About The TeamThe Kem Kem Yanga Midwifery Group Practice offers an all-risk midwifery caseload model of care. It provides a culturally appropriate maternity service for antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for Indigenous pregnant women within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service. This care model emphasizes shared responsibility between each woman and her midwife and recognizes the importance of continuity of care for Indigenous women as a priority.
