The Opportunity:

As a result of exponential growth we are looking to hire a Specialist (equivalent to Senior Consultant in Big4 Consulting) to join our Risk Modernisation team in either Sydney or Melbourne.

As a Specialist, you will be an integral member of a team delivering core risk and compliance solutions to clients across a variety of industries including financial services, retail, corporate and government. Your work will include supporting and advising clients on the development and implementation of risk frameworks, the assessment of risk programs, the implementation of controls testing and uplift, as well as the design and implementation of compliance programs.

Across a regular week as a Specialist, you can expect to project manage and deliver a wide variety of innovative, high-quality work across a range of risk, conduct, prudential and compliance themes, in collaboration with Partners, Directors, Executives and the broader team.

About You:

  • You are an experienced consultant with demonstrated capability and expertise in advising clients on risk and/or compliance management.
  • 3-5 years' experience ideally in a client facing role within a well-respected consulting firm. Candidates with a minimum of 4 years' experience in compliance, risk management or internal audit, preferably with listed companies, will also be considered.
  • You're an experienced risk practitioner and are comfortable with the common tools, frameworks and standards in this space.
  • You have proven experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies and controls.
  • You have proven experience and practical knowledge of working with and implementing obligations and regulations from the key regulators. Experience with the ACCC requirements is highly desirable.
  • You're confident in autonomously finding solutions to a range of problems, especially those related to risk management, in a commercial and client focused way.
  • You're excited to work in a team that allows you to take on more responsibility, manage multiple priorities and proactively get involved in a range of work, including client interaction and business development.
  • You have the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast moving and complex environment.
  • You're enthusiastic to continue learning and developing your skills and knowledge every day.
