Veterinary Radiographer – Greencross Vet Centre

Greencross Veterinary Centre and the Adelaide Animal Emergency & Referral Centre, a 24-hour multi-disciplinary centre, are seeking a part-time Veterinary Radiographer. We provide emergency, GP, and dermatology referral veterinary services, with a focus on delivering the best treatment and care for pets. Our imaging department includes radiography, CT, and fluoroscopy, vital for our diagnostic capabilities.
Job Description
The role requires a radiographer with medical imaging qualifications, skilled in veterinary imaging or an experienced human radiographer looking to transfer skills. You will work with Veterinarians, Nurses, and support staff, operating CT, C-arm, and general X-ray equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT, C-arm, and general X-ray equipment with appropriate licensing.
- Manage day-to-day radiography cases across all services.
- Support patient imaging procedures and communicate effectively with the team.
- Maintain accurate imaging records and reports.
- Manage radiation safety, dosimeters, and licenses according to legislation.
- Perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Collaborate across departments and provide feedback to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ensure effective communication, including patient records.
- Work effectively in high-stress environments as part of a multidisciplinary team.
