About the role

Foster & Co is seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our vibrant retail store in Hervey Bay, QLD. Opportunities available for Casual, Part-time, and Full-time roles. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with in-store operations, and contributing to the overall success of our retail business.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues.
  • Maintaining an organized and visually appealing store environment, including restocking, merchandising products, and ensuring the store is clean and tidy.
  • Processing sales transactions and handling cash and electronic payments accurately.
  • Staying up-to-date with product knowledge to provide informed recommendations to customers.
  • Contributing to inventory management by tracking stock levels and participating in stock takes.
  • Assisting with special projects and initiatives to support the store's overall success.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing retail role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers professionally and friendly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge continuously.
  • Reliable, dependable, and flexible, with the ability to work various shifts, including some weekends and public holidays depending on the role.
