We are looking for a part-time permanent Social Worker with passion for excellence in customer service delivery to join our team, to work 8 hours a week, the days and times can be flexible according to the needs of the successful candidate and the service.

As a Social Worker your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual sessions for inpatients referred for social work services, which may include, NDIS/Centrelink applications, housing priorities and homelessness, medical certificates etc.
• Being a key contributor to family meetings with the patient, Psychiatrist, and their family.
• Communicating and collaborating with other clinicians or stakeholders providing treatment to the individual.

The position requires the person to work independently with the patients and as a multidisciplinary team member of mental health professionals; and to liaise closely with the treating Psychiatrist. The Social Worker is part of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for providing assessments and therapeutic interventions to consumers at The Sydney Clinic (TSC).

Selection Criteria:

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work.
• Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisation, time management and self-management skills.
• Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence-based practice.
