Volunteer opportunities

We have a wide range of roles to match your interests and availability, including:

  • Companionship – friendly social visits with residents, conversations or walks
  • Lifestyle activities – board games, music, craft, art and social engagement
  • Social outings – accompanying residents on bus trips
  • Gardening – assisting residents with gardening activities
  • Meal times – assisting and supporting residents during meal times

What to expect

Calvary Mt. Carmel at Maitland offers accommodation for 41 aged care residents, including a memory support unit. There are also 18 independent living units on site. Volunteers have always played a vital part in resident care by complementing the care provided by our care staff. Your presence, time and kindness can brighten lives and create meaningful connections for our residents and their families.
