Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our Rehabilitation Ward (30 beds) on a Full-Time basis. Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 339-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

As a Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management.
- Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based.
- Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family-centered care in a team-focused environment.
- Providing guidance, mentoring, and support to your team.
- Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial, and material resources.
- Undertaking direct patient care, as required.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
- Current Registration with AHPRA.
- Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approach.
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in Acute Medical or Rehabilitation setting.
- Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management.
- Understand the requirements of private health funding.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care.
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment.
