Our client is a leading provider of steel and reinforcing solutions to the infrastructure, construction, and manufacturing sectors across Australia. Our Reinforcing division supports major construction and civil projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and service excellence.

They are looking for an organised and proactive Operations Coordinator with strong coordination and administrative skills. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, be confident working with systems and processes, and have a keen eye for detail. A safety-first mindset and a hands-on approach to problem-solving are essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support planning, production, and dispatch workflows
  • Maintain accurate records across payroll, Kronos, and maintenance systems
  • Monitor and manage inventory, stocktake, maintenance orders, and compliance reports
  • Assist with procurement, purchase orders, and supplier engagement
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and incidents are reported
  • Provide admin support across IT systems, access control, and team coordination

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in operations/admin
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Intermediate experience with logistics, inventory, or planning systems
  • Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
  • Experience in manufacturing or construction (preferred)
  • Have a hardworking, self-motivated attitude
  • Able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol
  • Available Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the State or Site Operations Manager, this role provides essential support across planning, production, dispatch, and compliance functions. It is a hands-on, detail-driven position where your coordination and administrative skills will help keep site operations efficient and compliant. You'll also play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate systems data, supporting procurement processes, and assisting with safety and compliance audits.

Job Overview
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily site operations including planning schedules, dispatch, and production tracking.

Accurately input and maintain data across payroll (Kronos), maintenance, and stock systems.

Monitor workflow invoicing, raise purchase orders, and assist with sourcing suppliers.

Conduct daily inventory counts, manage stocktake processes, and investigate discrepancies.

Support maintenance by creating and following up on work orders and ensuring all tasks are logged.

Ensure safety compliance by reporting hazards, supporting investigations, and preparing audit records.

Manage access systems, tech setups (laptops/screens), and act as administrator for WOL and backup admin roles.

What We're Looking For
Key Requirements

Experience in operations coordination or administration, ideally in manufacturing or construction.

Proficiency in systems such as Kronos, inventory software, or maintenance tracking tools.

High attention to detail with a structured, process-driven mindset.

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working across teams and with suppliers.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Relevant administrative, operations or logistics qualifications OR equivalent work experience.

A safety-first attitude and understanding of compliance procedures in a high-risk environment.

Previous exposure to manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial settings is highly regarded.
