We're seeking a passionate and capable Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health Inpatient Service at Wyong Hospital, supporting consumers to regain function, purpose, and connection during a critical stage of their recovery journey.
About The Role
- As part of our collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality, client-centred occupational therapy services to mental health inpatients.
- You will be responsible for assessment, intervention, group facilitation, discharge planning, and engaging with carers and community supports to promote safe and meaningful reintegration.
- This role offers a supportive supervision structure, professional development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to ongoing service improvement in a vibrant and evolving mental health care environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing evidence-based, recovery-oriented care that supports functional outcomes
- Facilitating therapeutic groups and individual assessment interventions
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues to manage risk and support discharge
- Communicating effectively with consumers, carers, and community providers
- Participating in supervision, team education and quality improvement activities
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Passion for working in mental health and supporting people in complex recovery journeys
- Ability to build rapport with consumers, families and service providers
- Strong organisational skills, a calm presence under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to grow your clinical skills and contribute to service development
