Delivering 4 Customers (D4C)

is a consortium comprising industry-leading Tier 1 organisations – John Holland, Service Stream, and WSP. Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River. D4C is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join a dynamic, diverse, and high-performing team during an exciting period of growth.

We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion program over the next 10 years to build, maintain, and protect our iconic water resources.

Primary Purpose

This role involves ensuring the successful delivery of projects in Sydney Water's Treatment program. Responsibilities include supporting construction leads, managing project timelines, overseeing the tender process, and ensuring adherence to time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Supporting Construction Leads to ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards.
  2. Setting daily, weekly, and long-term project programs to achieve required outputs, managing plant, labour, materials, and resources.
  3. Monitoring and reviewing costs, invoices, and claims for allocated projects.
  4. Contributing to project constructability concerning design development.
  5. Overseeing the tender process, including evaluation and awarding of subcontract procurement packages, applying pre-contract knowledge of design, planning, and legislative requirements.
  6. Monitoring quality and quantities of incoming equipment and materials against drawings and specifications, arranging corrections or modifications as necessary per Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  7. Utilizing document and record management systems to track progress and ensure compliance reporting.
  8. Ensuring the successful delivery of work packages by managing subcontractor and 'Self-Perform' workforce performance.
  9. Liaising and coordinating with external parties and statutory authorities, managing their site attendance as needed.
  10. Fostering a safety, quality, environment, and community culture within D4C, supporting our mission to Deliver Differently.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' engineering experience.
  • Driver's license is essential.
  • White Card is desirable.
