About the role

Ascot Group is seeking experienced Site Supervisors to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards while also working hands-on on the tools. This is a full-time position based in Greater Adelaide.

What you'll be doing
  • Supervising and coordinating the work of construction teams, including tradespeople and labourers
  • Overseeing the proper use of tools, equipment, and materials
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting work schedules and plans as needed
  • Hands-on carpentry
  • Providing support and guidance to the construction team
  • Liaising with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to address issues
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Maintaining detailed project records and documentation
What we're looking for
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Site Supervisor in construction
  • Minimum Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
