Senior Auditor

At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.

• Provide risk-based assurance and advice to schools in NSW
• Clerk Grade 7/8 with salary ranges from $110,266 - $122,058 plus super & annual leave loading
• An ongoing, full-time role is available based in Warilla NSW.
• Regular travel to schools across the South Eastern and Riverina areas of New South Wales is required.
  
  

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Auditor to join our high performing team. The Senior Auditor will be responsible for conducting audits of NSW schools. From time-to-time, Senior Auditors may also be involved in reviews of strategic and operational management systems, applications and programs.

You Will Be

• Conducting audits of transactional data (including finance, procurement, and assets and equipment) and of compliance in the areas of child protection, WHS and student attendance.
• Supporting school performance through consultancies and provision of advice in the areas audited.

Essential Requirements Of The Role

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent workplace experience.
• Driver's licence and willingness to travel
• Working with Children Check for paid employment
• Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
  
  

Key Knowledge And Experience

• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
