At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.
- Provide risk-based assurance and advice to schools in NSW
- Clerk Grade 7/8 with salary ranges from $110,266 - $122,058 plus super & annual leave loading
- An ongoing, full-time role is available based in Warilla NSW.
- Regular travel to schools across the South Eastern and Riverina areas of New South Wales is required.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Auditor to join our high performing team. The Senior Auditor will be responsible for conducting audits of NSW schools. From time-to-time, Senior Auditors may also be involved in reviews of strategic and operational management systems, applications and programs.
You Will Be
- Conducting audits of transactional data (including finance, procurement, and assets and equipment) and of compliance in the areas of child protection, WHS and student attendance.
- Supporting school performance through consultancies and provision of advice in the areas audited.
Essential Requirements Of The Role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent workplace experience.
- Driver's licence and willingness to travel
- Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
