Our continued growth has created an opportunity for a qualified & skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team and work on exciting, technically challenging projects across Australia and overseas.
The Role
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the end-to-end delivery of industrial and process-based electrical systems. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical design and documentation across a variety of projects. You will work closely with sub-contractors, vendors, and internal project teams to deliver accurate drawings and specifications. The role reports directly to the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage electrical design documentation
Draft and modify electrical schematics using AutoCAD (essential)
Develop and maintain cable schedules
Interpret and apply client specifications and standards
Coordinate activities with sub-contractors and site teams
Liaise with vendors and suppliers for equipment and services
Support FATs and on-site commissioning
Handle technical documentation and ensure deliverables meet project timelines
Ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards and QA/QC procedures
Collaborate with project managers and clients throughout project lifecycle
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within the energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors
Proficiency in AutoCAD – electrical drafting is essential
Ability to read and develop cable schedules, wiring diagrams, motor start circuits and control systems
Familiarity with AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Experience with PLCs and SCADA systems
Exposure to instrumentation or packaged systems
