Project Security Officer, Data Centre Security

AWS Infrastructure Operations – Physical Security is seeking exceptional Project Security Officers to assist with managing and delivering project security requirements on an upcoming project.
These site-based roles are responsible for supporting our project team in managing physical security in accordance with client security requirements and the project security plan.
You must focus on internal and external customers, delivering support and services in a fast-changing environment. You should be able to operate independently, manage security projects, prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, think creatively, and deliver results.
Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-and-suitability).
Key job responsibilities- Serve as the primary security liaison, maintaining daily communication with relevant security personnel.
- Provide comprehensive security oversight during construction, ensuring facilities meet security standards through inspections.
- Compile security assurance reports and document security issues and incidents.
- Manage, respond to, and record security issues throughout construction as per the Security Response Plan.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with security requirements, proactively mitigating risks.
- Facilitate meetings, resolve issues, and report on security compliance matters.
- Maintain high attention to detail with a meticulous, process-driven approach.
- Maintain relevant security clearances and certifications; experience in construction security is desirable.

Minimum requirements- 2+ years' experience in Physical Security Operations.
- Knowledge of Physical Security systems, investigation techniques, and incident management.
- Experience managing security in complex and high-security environments.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Strong customer support orientation and ownership mindset.
- Willingness to step outside comfort zones and take ownership of projects.
