Responsibilities:
Team Support and Development
You will be instrumental in supporting our dynamic team by providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Your efforts will ensure that team members follow established processes and maintain high technical standards. By actively promoting a culture of safety and well-being, you will be a key leader in implementing effective safety practices in the workplace.
Technical Expertise in Environmental Sciences
You will apply your knowledge in environmental revegetation principles, soil science, geoscience and ecology
assist in developing innovative solutions to fundamental environmental challenges. Your expertise will enable you to create detailed technical documentation and reports that are vital for our projects.
Spatial Analysis and Software Proficiency
Proficiency in ArcGIS or QGIS software will be essential as you assess soil, vegetation, land use, and land management aspects of various projects. Your skills in spatial analysis will help guide our decision-making processes and contribute to successful project outcomes.
Field Investigations and Client Interaction
You will lead field investigations, including material characterization, sampling programs, and construction QA/QC projects. Also, you will conduct revegetation and reclamation assessments, working directly with contractors and heavy equipment operators to implement effective plans. Your ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders of varying expertise levels will help ensure project success.
Database Management and Relationship Building
You will also be responsible for updating and managing databases, conducting background reviews for conceptual model development, and providing support for instrumentation procurement and calibration. Cultivating and sustaining strong client relationships will be crucial, as these connections can open doors to new opportunities and referrals.

Qualifications:
- We're on the lookout for someone with a solid educational background in ecology, environmental science, or a related field, who brings a strong set of technical skills relevant to our service offerings.
- If you have over 4 years of experience in the mining industry, whether in consulting or onsite work.
- Fieldwork experience is preferred, especially in mining, but we're open to candidates with environmental field experience as well.
- Strong communication skills are essential, particularly for report writing, analytical assessments, and data quality control.
- Proficiency in GIS software, such as QGIS or ESRI ArcGIS, is a big plus
