Speech Pathologist Role

We are seeking a passionate Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health Team, delivering high-quality services to support the quality of life and independence of consumers across our Aged Care service delivery.

About the Role

This part-time opportunity (2 days per week) will see you working in our day centres at Booragul and Belmont, as well as in residential settings and in-home. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide exceptional support to consumers and each other.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based Speech Pathology services in individual and group settings to build capacity, promote healthy ageing, and optimise quality of life.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and interventions for swallowing and communication disorders using standardised and non-standardised assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement holistic therapy plans in consultation with consumers, carers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in programs enhancing older persons' wellbeing, quality of life, and preference for living in their own home.
About You
  • Current registration as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Sound knowledge and experience working with ageing populations from an enablement, restorative, and wellbeing perspective.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to workplace culture and engage with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Confident and skilled clinician able to motivate consumers, families, staff, and stakeholders.
