Responsibilities
  • Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
  • Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables
  • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
  • Describe menu items including daily specials for customers; advise on menu selections
  • Balance cash and record sales
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
  • Provide customer service
Qualifications
  • No degree, certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
  • Serving It Right Certificate
  • Computer knowledge: Aloha POS; Point of Sale system
  • On-site work required
Education
  • No degree, certificate or diploma
Work Experience and Skills
  • Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
  • Customer service oriented with efficient interpersonal and excellent oral communication skills
  • Flexible, initiative, organized, reliable and a team player
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Fast-paced environment; handling heavy loads
  • Physically demanding; standing for extended periods

Compensation and Schedule
