Overview

Finance Officer - School Based. Expressions of Interest (EOI) invited from applicants wishing to work in Finance in our schools. Permanent / Contract position recruited via Brisbane Catholic Education Office (Dutton Park, Queensland, Australia). Location: 243 Gladstone Road, Dutton Park, Queensland 4102.

Closing date: December 11, 2123. Status: Permanent / Contract.

About The Role

The Finance Officer assists the School Leadership Team with a wide variety of financial and administrative functions to support the financial operations of the school. Under the direction of the Principal, this position coordinates financial administration activities and provides support to ensure the school delivers on key reporting deadlines. This is a diverse role where you will have the platform to showcase your financial knowledge and organisational skills. You will work closely with Support Accountants, School Leadership Administration Team, Staff, Parents and Vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Cashier and banking duties
  • Data entry
  • Report preparation
  • General administration functions
  • Coordinate financial administration activities and support to meet reporting deadlines
About You
  • Initiative and attention to detail
  • Effective communication dealing with various stakeholders
  • Highly organised
  • Sound judgement, confidentiality and discretion
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • BCE finance system - Microsoft Dynamics D365 - experience advantageous but not essential

  • Eligibility to work within Australia for the period of this appointment
  • Currently hold or ability to obtain Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
