Overview

Clinical Nurse (Adult Intake) role at Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The Intake Clinician will engage in comprehensive consumer-focused mental health consultation, assessment, intervention and training to ensure seamless care for consumers between Mental Health, local public hospitals, and the primary health and community sector.

About us:
Provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas, with services located in each area. Rockhampton is the principal service centre and administers the Mental Health Act, 2016. There are Adult Step Up Step Down facilities and an Adult Community Care Unit in Rockhampton. The Gladstone Integrated Service includes Adult Mental Health, Child and Youth Mental Health, Step-Up-Step Down Unit and Alcohol and Other Drugs services.

About you
  • A relevant qualification in Registered Nursing or equivalent with current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration.
  • Eligibility for appointment as an Authorized Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable.
Responsibilities

The Intake Clinician will engage in comprehensive consumer-focused mental health consultation, assessment, intervention and training to ensure seamless care for consumers between Mental Health, local public hospitals, and the primary health and community sector.

What we offer

Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. comprised of:

  • Hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
