EOI | Trainee Finance Officer

The opportunity –

Novaskill, in partnership with Walcha Council, is thrilled to offer a Financial Services Traineeship. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in the financial sector while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You'll be collaborating with experienced professionals, gaining valuable skills and insight to advance your career in finance.

You'll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Financial Services whilst gaining experience and developing relationships in the industry.

Key responsibilities –

• Assist with daily financial operations and administrative tasks
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
• Maintain and update financial databases and records
• Process invoices and payments
• Handle general inquiries related to financial services
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Contribute to the preparation of tax and compliance documentation

Learning outcomes –

• Establish client relationships
• Negotiate and resolve disputes with clients and customers
• Produce workplace spreadsheets and documents for the finance sector
• Assess and address customer needs
• Develop and apply risk management strategies
• Determine appropriate solutions for clients and customers

About you –

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skill
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Enthusiastic about learning and developing a career in finance
