About the role

Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Manager and based in Hobart, we're seeking a commercially astute Head of Logistics to join our Operations team. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring our global logistics operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with strategic objectives.

You'll oversee the management of distribution, warehousing, freight, purchasing, manufacturing, planning, and supply chain coordination. You'll also play a key role in supplier engagement, systems implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is pivotal in driving and executing operational and commercial outcomes whilst fostering a culture of service and accountability across internal and external stakeholders.

About you

You're a seasoned logistics and supply chain leader with a passion for continuous improvement. You play an active role in the day-to-day, contributing within your function to optimise operations and maintain alignment with business goals. You thrive in complex environments, lead with clarity and purpose, and bring a collaborative approach to cross-functional leadership. You have a people and customer-centric mindset and embrace exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead logistics operations, ensuring high-performance outcomes in service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strategically manage supplier relationships and procurement with offshore partners, ensuring supply continuity, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Champion freight, distribution, and warehouse management strategies that support scalable growth and seamless fulfilment across regions.
  • Drive inventory optimisation and supply chain planning to support commercial agility and seasonal responsiveness.
  • Provide operational leadership across gumboot manufacturing, embedding lean principles to enhance productivity and supporting sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure logistics strategies are aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, safety standards, and ethical sourcing commitments.
  • Provide relevant reporting and insights to support informed decision-making and contribute to longer-term planning.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence across our network, including designated travel to international and domestic locations.
Key Requirements
  • Extensive experience in international logistics, warehousing, and freight operations, with a proven ability to work across complex global supply chains.
  • Unrestricted access to countries around the globe.
  • Full Australian work rights, passport and driver's license.
