Exciting Full-Time Opportunity for a Senior Residential Draftsperson

GemLife is seeking an experienced Senior ArchiCAD Residential Draftsperson to join our drafting team.

The Role

As a Senior Residential Draftsperson, you will be responsible for creating innovative floor plans and facades while maintaining and updating ArchiCAD standard templates for residential home designs. You will collaborate with team members, departments, and consultants to refine design concepts and ensure projects are completed to the highest standards within timeframes.

You will work on unique, one-off designs for special projects and challenging blocks that require custom solutions. In addition to production designs, you'll focus on exceptional quality and timely completion of tasks.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years of experience drafting using ArchiCAD or similar software on a PC platform
  • Proven expertise in taking concept drawings to full construction detailed drawings
  • Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail
  • Competence in design development, construction documentation, and detailing
  • Knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, and Local Government regulations
  • 3+ years of residential construction experience with a volume home builder
  • Motivation to see jobs through to completion within project timelines at all costs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and quality control skills
  • Organizational skills, including time management and prioritisation
  • Approachable personality with excellent communication skills
