Position Title: Enrolled Nurse (EN2-5), Mental Health - The Forensic Hospital, Malabar Justice Health - PFT/PT
Responsibilities- Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge relevant to contemporary mental health nursing.
- The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) contributes to planning, implementing, evaluation of health issues and assisting in the provision of nursing care for patients.
- The EEN is responsible for providing the day to day mental health and physical health care requirements of patients. This must be in line with the principles of recovery and forensic mental health rehabilitation. The EEN must integrate therapeutic goals with security requirements through constant appraisal of organisational processes and nurse-patient relationships to ensure opportunities for therapeutic endeavour are maximised. All staff have a responsibility to maintain the safety and security of patients, staff and visitors within the high secure environment.
The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional and high-risk civil patients. A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health professionals deliver care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency to long stay and rehabilitation care.

Orientation- A mandatory two-week orientation is provided for all new staff at Forensic Hospital. All days are paid. Next intake dates are 13 October and 24 November 2025.
