An exciting opportunity exists at Marshall Road State School for a permanent Head of Special Education Services to join the Executive Leadership Team.
The HOSES will lead and manage the Whole School Support Team, including Teachers and Teacher Aides, and oversee support and stretch opportunities for all students, aligned with the school's vision and values around belonging and engagement.
The role includes responsibility for strategic work aligned with Marshall Road State School's AIP priorities, line management of Inclusion staffing, and management of the school support timetable from Prep to Year six. Working within the Executive Leadership Team, you will aim to improve educational outcomes by facilitating quality teaching and learning and fostering positive relationships.

About The RoleAs the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include:
- Building staff and community knowledge and practices of inclusive education and related legislation.
- Reviewing service delivery models and resources for support and adjustments for targeted students.
- Providing pedagogical coaching and staff mentoring to enhance inclusive practices.
- Using data to inform curriculum decisions and plan for adjustments, differentiation, and case management.
- Collaborating with students, staff, and parents to support students in all areas.
- Supporting classroom teachers in developing work programs and resources for inclusive practices.
- Leading Student Support and stakeholder meetings, including with external agencies and parents.
- Fostering a positive team culture focused on student success.
