The work is challenging but rewarding - and that is why staff wellbeing and work/life balance are a top priority for us.**About the role**As a Lawyer in the Family Law Services team, you will play a critical role in representing clients in family law, domestic and family violence, child protection, and other related matters. This includes preparing cases, personally advocating in court, and instructing counsel as required. You will provide duty lawyer services, along with legal advice, referrals, and information tailored to the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged clients. If appointed as an Independent Children's Lawyer or Separate Representative, you will act in the best interests of children in family law and child protection matters. Additionally, you will contribute to policy development, law reform, and the delivery of legal training sessions while collaborating with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders using trauma-informed principles.
