
Emergency Department Support Officer

The Role:
Assist the Manager Medical Orderly and Security Services and Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) - Emergency Department (ED) in ensuring a safe and secure environment within the ED. De-escalate and support patients within the Emergency Department and act as a member of the Code Gray Team in ED when required. Provide manual handling assistance with patient care requirements when and as directed.
You will need:
- Knowledge of aggression management response techniques and Code Black Response Team procedures.
- Customer services focus and or experience.
- Knowledge appropriate to the role of Work Health and Safety and emergency response procedures, e.g. Fire, Bomb Threats and Evacuation Procedures.

Details of appointment:
Multiple fixed term full time/part time, shift worker position, working up to 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a 12-month period.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:$67,193 to $72,126 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
