Receptionist

Great Keppel Island Hideaway is a unique island resort located on the stunning shores of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. We offer a relaxed, barefoot holiday experience for guests of all ages — and now, we're looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our front-of-house reception team.

As our Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests — greeting arrivals, assisting with bookings, providing island information, and ensuring a warm and memorable welcome every time. This is a live-in role, ideal for someone who thrives in a close-knit team and embraces island life.

• Managing guest check-ins and check-outs
• Handling reservations and general enquiries (phone, email, in person)
• Coordinating daily transport schedules (boat/ferry arrivals & departures)
• Providing outstanding customer service throughout the guest experience
• Liaising with housekeeping, maintenance, and kitchen teams
• Managing point-of-sale and basic administrative duties

• Minimum 1 year of receptionist or front-of-house experience
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A friendly, proactive, and professional demeanour
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team
• Sound computer literacy (booking systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Willingness to adapt to a remote, island-based lifestyle

• You must have Australian permanent working rights
• Working holiday visas will not be considered
• A minimum 12-month commitment is required
• 18 years and over only
